Legos
I am thrilled with the different lego kits that are available, the price is great and with quick delivery it is always a pleasure to brouse and purchase on line. I have never had a problem purchasing with Amazon, items come packaged well and you can tract you orders very easily. The best way to go

Lego is getting better and better with making the star wars ships durable for play5
My son recently recieved this for a birthday present. He put it together by himself (he's 7). You get an Anakin Skywalker and an R2D2 plus the ship. The ship is very nicely designed and holds up to some serious battle attacks in our living room.

This set does look like it should be a pricier model. This is a very fun lego set - easy to put together, durable, two lego dudes, highly sought after star wars vehicle.

Fun toy, but some people say the wings fall off!
I'm in a fourth grade GT class right now and these kids love this product. Some of the students have had this toy for a couple years and it is very popular. One student said that the wings fell off, but he still likes it. They also like the LEGO Star Wars Clone Scout Walker.

Star Wars Clone Wars-Plug and Play
This is one of the best presents that I got for my son. He LOVES it! I enjoyed playing with him too. I am not as good like he is but its very entertaining! I do recommend this to all parents!

Christmas Gift
This was a Christmas present for my nephew who loves any and everything related to Star Wars. It is easy for him to setup on his own, just an easy plug in, without the help of an adult. He has even taken it next door to play it with one of his friends.

A hit gift
My 6 yr old son received this for Christmas, and it's been his most played with toy. I will say that it's not worth the $49 price-- the $24.99 I paid for it is a much better deal. If you've got a Star Wars junkie in your house-- this is a must have.

Customer Reviews

Monopoly for the Star Wars fan
My son got this for Christmas. What a terrific combination for a Star Wars and Monopoly fan.

The board is beautiful with the Star Wars color scheme. Makes us feel like we are in a galaxy far away. It's nicely done.

CLASSIC GAME PLAY

Just like classic Monopoly. Of course, the properties, utilities and railroads have different names. The Chance and Community Chest cards are replaced by Sith and Jedi cards. You get settlements and cities instead of houses and hotels.

STAR WARS GAME PLAY

There is also the option of playing with Star Wars rules in the rule book, pitting the light versus dark side.

All of it relies on the roll of the dice. Players move around the board as usual, but if they roll a 6 on one die, they have an option of using a move determined by the number on the other die.

For example, for the Light Side, 1 is EARLY DISCOVERY, the player rolls again and if it is 2 or higher, s/he can get 1 available property or collect $[...] from the bank. If the next roll is a 1, the player pays $[...] to the bank

The Dark Side a 1 is on the other die means do an AMBUSH, whereby if the next roll is a 4 or higher, they may steal 1 property. If they roll a 3 or less, they must pay $[...] to the bank.

It is all very complicated and requires the use of the rule book. I personally would rather not play something that requires me to stare at the rule book constantly.

TOKENS

You get six collectible tokens: Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Captain Rex, Asajj Ventress and General Grievous. They feel solid, made of metal and are about 2 inches tall. Personally, I `d prefer if they made them smaller, like classic Monopoly.

Also, it would have been better if they used a ship, blaster, driod, etc. to match the classic style. I guess they needed humanoids for the Star Wars game play, but I really have to stare at them to figure out which one is mine and a couple of times, we got our pieces mixed up during play.

SUMMARY

If you like Star Wars The Clone Wars and you like Monopoly, this game is for you. Don't expect the Star Wars play to be too exciting, just play it like classic Monopoly. The tokens will be nice for a collector. I can see people just taking those out and tossing the rest away, but for Monopoly play, they could use improvement. Overall, a nice buy.

helps with math
I always loved Monopoly growing up- bought this one for our son who loves Star Wars- BIG hit, he is 7! Now he knows why we have to learn addition, subtractions, multiplication, division, percentages, etc. He is having so much fun and learning so much- not to mention the strategy invovled. Now he wants his skills to be sharper so he can play better- it was a lesson he learned on his own thanks to this game.

Basic monopoly fun for the Star wars lover
Perfect gift for the star wars lover. My son loves this game. It provides some educational value too in counting the money, properties, collecting rents, etc. Great family game.

Legos
What's not to love about Legos? Add the theme of Star Wars and you have a great product!

Rip-off!!
I just received this item & could not be more disappointed!! I paid the new price of $17.85...used price was $13 something. Cannot believe how small it is so checked on LEGOS site for their price.....$9.99. SOME BARGAIN & the last time I will use this site, recommed you don't either.

I wish lego made more of these cool little sets
This is a nice little set with rebel troops. You have three little rebel dudes and the speeder. Super easy to put together, stays together for playing with. Good value for the money.

I rate lego sets on how fun they are to build, whether or not my son can build it alone (he's 7), can we play with it, really play with it, and how good are the extras (like lego dudes or accessories)

From the Manufacturer
With the Hasbro Clone Wars Voice Changer Helmet, your child can become a mighty Clone Trooper! Equipped with this movie-authentic helmet, kids don't just look like a Clone Trooper, but also miraculously alter their voices to sound like one. Recommended for ages 5 and up, this helmet is truly the ultimate headgear for any Star Wars fan. Clone Tooper Voice Changer Helmet
This is one of those toys that a child thinks they HAVE to have. As a parent you think, hmm how long will the interest last. This is probably the favorite thing our Son received for Christmas. The newness is wearing off but he still loves it. He loves making his own star wars shorts with the new webcam.

my nephew loved this
My K-age nephew loved this "Star Wars hat" before he even knew it had the voice changer. I had given a Darth Vader helmet to his slightly older brother a year earlier and they immediately exchanged presents amongst themselves. Right gifts, wrong nephews. I should mention that I am a preschool teacher and halted momentarily when I came to the question about educational value. It is not the alphabet, but I had to say that it is educational because young children learn through play.

Dramatic play is one of the ways they develop abstract thinking. And he played and played with this. Give a few books, as I did, to appease your conscience, if you must. Better yet, join in the play. I also enjoyed saving the $100.00 I would have spent additionally if I had actually walked into a Target store instead of buying this through Amazon. Great gift. Right nephew. Great shopping experience.

Does not change your voice
I got this for my nephew for Christmas and was a little disappointed with this helmet. While it looks really cool and the pre programmed voices sound great, there is no real voice changer or voice amplifier. Thankfully, my nephew was not disappointed by the helmet. Not recommended if you're looking to have a voice changer - recommended it you just want to look cool in a clone trooper helmet.

5 yr olds favorite toy!
We bought this for my son who is 5 and is a huge Star Wars fan. This was the at the top of his Christmas list. He loves it and carries it everywhere. It lights up and makes slashing noises. He is able to build different style light sabers easily, he has no problem changing the pieces around by himself. Overall although there is little educational value it is a fun toy that my son has spent hours playing pretend Jedi and Sith with. It seems to be very durable as well. It is his favorite toy. I would highly recomend it for your little Star Wars fans!

Pretty cool toy
We bought this for my son for Christmas. He played with it right away. He is 8 years old and really into Star Wars Clone Wars. It was a bit difficult to figure out and we tried to keep the box for storage, but it got beaten up quickly. He still plays with it. I would say a storage bag would be a great addition for the toy. Also a bit difficult to figure out how to put together. Other than that, would buy it again.

Creat Your Own Lightsaber!
I bought this for both my 5-year old nephew and my 6-year old son and they both are enjoying it very much. My son says it's "awesome!" We have only put it together once so far and it appears as though it may be too troublesome to take it apart and make it a new way so we are leaving it the way it was first put together. The kids like the way it makes sounds and lights up in different colors. It was easy to assemble but we did forget that it needed batteries. A great toy for any Star Wars lover!

Pretty Good Buy For Your Money
This Lego is good for its money. I own the Lego Gunship and this is bigger with a sturdier frame. The characters go fantastic with this lego. In my opinion the turrents are the best part of this lego. Although why did the model makers have to make parts to the inside temporary? The two seats can be pulled out and are not attached. Although you can make it attached by adding a 2x4 piece to it. If your a big Star Wars fan and are looking to save money this is a great buy!

Not Perfect, but Pretty Awesome
My 8-year-old received this toy for Christmas. He spent about 8 hours putting it together Christmas Day, only needing minor help once or twice, and hardly looked at any other present until he finished it. Here's his review:

I'd say this set is awesome - not perfect, but pretty close. It fits a pilot, a squad of four, and I put in two operators for guns and missiles. I realized that taking out the four-person squad seats could make room for nine. It is cool on the outside and inside. It holds up pretty well when I play with it. The cockpit falls apart sometimes, the doors may come off, the guns and cannons come off and putting the missiles back makes pieces fall off sometimes but besides that it is awesome!

-Paul, 8 years old

Good, but missing pieces
The set was just what my boys wanted. They love it and built immediately on Christmas day. However, there were several pieces missing that they had to replace with what they had. It wasn't exact, but it was do-able.

Awesome Star Wars Lego Toy
I am not sure what the other reviewers are doing wrong but I got this for Christmas, put it together right away and I had no problems at all with it falling apart. I saw this when it was one of the gold box deals and didn't think I would like it but now that I have it, it's awesome. The two Magna Droids that come with it are pretty cool. The way the cockpit opens is pretty neat and it has enough weapons to destroy any Arc Fighter it sees. And again, ignore those reviews about it falling apart..I just tried to pull the wings off and it didn't come apart.

Frustrating: On behalf of my son.
My son, who usually loves Lego Star Wars, wanted me to write this on his behalf after becoming frustrated with this kit:

"I had a forty-dollar gift card and spent it on this toy. I love other Star Wars Lego sets, but this one was different. It kept on falling apart! So, it took like 7 hours just to put it together! That's because each wing is held together by only 2 pieces. I had to add extra pieces just to keep it from falling apart as I built it.

But I have to say it looks really cool. And I have tried to play with it but the rocket compartment keeps on falling out.

If you build this, don't expect to play with it, just say it is a decoration."

I like it but it's easily breakable, hard to keep together
I got to say I was thrilled to get this toy, it nearly took the entire day to build and half the night trying to make it stay in its place. But the design is realy good and when you put the droid in the the ship the droid kind of flicks and gets realy annoying and they only put the cool thing in the back also its kinda not fun because it breaks every time I try to play with it, but it's a realy cool toy.

Collectors young and old will appreciate the details of this Star Wars Interactive Electronic R2-D2 Astromech Droid. Complete with movie-accurate messages and flashing lights, this droid responds to voice commands and has a special arm designed to keep your beverage handy. This friendly robot is designed to be a fun companion for kids aged eight and up.

From the Manufacturer
Newly programmed at our ultra-modern factory, this state-of-the-art R2 series astromech droid unit is ready to obey your commands. Grab his attention by saying "Hey, R2" and he's ready for more than 40 voice commands. Ask him if he remembers his famous friends, like Luke Skywalker, C-3PO or Jabba the Hutt. Each name will stir up a different response depending on R2's "feelings" for that character. Just a few of R2's amazing attributes include moving along on his own, turning his front beam on and off, and even playing a secret message when you follow the proper voice commands.

In "Game" mode, R2 plays multiple games and spins, dances and plays music. He even guards your room with his sentry alarm. Once you've mastered R2's companion and game modes, move on to command mode for plotting real-time maneuvering or programmed courses for R2 to follow. R2 also boasts a secret cargo compartment and a unique swing-down utility arm that's also a beverage holder.

Thing never moved. Nephew very upset that R2D2 was sick
We got our R2D2 and my nephew opened his birthday present. He was so excited to get him that he hugged him and told him how much he loved him. Then came the trouble. He would not take voice commands. He did as he pleased. You told him to go on patrol and he stood there. You talked to him about DartVader and he stood there. So we checked all of the batteries and they were all fine. R2D2 was a dud. We sent him back and my newphew just sat there and asked that stupid Droid why do you have to be sick. Let me tell you that I just was so upset that my nephew got disappointed.

Bad Robot. Would not recommend for anyone.

Torn...
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3GHK1VPT9G8LT To all of you that have gotten the R2 and loved him. We are there with you.. to all of you that have gotten him and are pretty disappointed. We are there with you too. We got him as our gift to the kids from santa, since our Christmas was star wars themed and it seemed like this year was all about light sabers, darth vader cloaks and the elder siblings teaching the one year old to hum the darth vader march. (groans)

When we unpackaged him christmas eve. As set about testing him and enjoying him before wrapping him.. he worked great. He was an instant hit with my husband and I and we just KNEW our kids were going to love him.

Christmas morning was another story. R2 stopped responding to commands from my husband or I (we had a feeling that the prog within him wouldnt take the kids voices so when he didnt respond to them we didnt mind) his light was constantly red and the light beam light on. The command behave or reset didnt work to improve the mood. We'd ask him the do you remember and he would put himself into lazor tag mode. haha.

By that night r2's condition ended up being where he wouldnt move or wander, just stand there with a red light and do a continuous negative sounding chirp and shake his head to any request. Even the reset one.. so we just turned him off and put him up. We thought, perhaps it was the batteries? changed them. Same thing.

This morning, as he is in stand mode. Sitting on my desk.. I can get him to respond to me, sometimes. lets say 3 out of 10 commands issued exactly how the directions tell you to.. work.

I am torn on weather or not to tell someone else to buy this at full price. If you want this toy, I'd wait for amazon's "today deal". I got him for 59.99 with free shipping and am actually thankful.(or try ebay) If I would have payed full price for this toy.. I'd be furious right now. haha. But my kids are enjoying him ...even though he refuses some commands (follow me etc) I'd say if you can find him cheap. Get him for the star wars lover in your life... but do NOT pay over $60.00 for him.

Do NOT.

Here is our christmas morning video. Please excuse the close ups from on the children's faces. Its my home video of opening R2! haha

Limited fun
I am not disappointed in R2, it works pretty well. Some of the commands get confused but that's to be expected. It took a little while to learn how to use it, you have to be patient, but once you see how it responds and you learn to give the commands in the proper order, it works well. I bought it for my 12 yr old daughter and she had it mastered in about an hour. It's a little pricey for what you get but then again, what isn't these days. The reason I say limited fun is because I can see people losing interest in it due to a rather short list of usable commands. But hey, that's just my opinion. :)

The Clone Wars
Not a bad movie. My 8 year old loves star wars and watches the show every friday night.

Clone Wars Had Such Potential...
And yet, we get a mediocre story with okay voice acting and pretty gorgeous computer animation. The whole thing is just one big piece of eye candy. The square-faced look takes some getting used to, but it is rather nice in an artistic kind of way.

The script's terrible. The only good lines were given to the battle droids. "Why?!!!!!!!!!" (as it is getting chucked off the platform)

The changed opening was just tacky.

The battle scenes were decent, but not amazing, hence 3 stars and not 1 or 5.

Great movie! My son loves it!
We received the movie quickly and it was in perfect condition. It's a great movie, my son loves it!!

If you like the animated series you will like this
I've been a Star Wars fan for almost all of my life, and I must say this is one of the best "versus" Star Wars game out there, besides it's a good game for the whole family, and if you like the new animated series you will enjoy this game.

The graphics are great and some of the history is direct from the TV series. The dialogue is witty and funny, since it was made with almost the entire cast of the animated series. The cutscenes are either from the movie or the TV series.

The playability is very simple, but it really takes a while to master it.

My only dissapointment is the lack of such great characters like Yoda.

This game is more enjoyable if you play it with friends.

Really Fun!
This game is great for Star Wars fans! It allows you to take the place of a variety of characters from the Clone Wars series and movie and battle with other characters. I really love this game!

Very fun...for both kids & parents
My son and I have spent everyday dueling against one another since he got it for Christmas. It is a very entertaining game. Offers tutorials, so you can learn how to master the different abilities. The game play follows the movie & series really closely...very exciting for my son who loves the series.

The next chapter in the Star Wars saga, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, tells the story of Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice, a mysterious figure trained by the menacing Sith Lord, to hunt down the last of the Jedi. Set in the dark times between Episodes III and IV, the story is both a continuation of the prequel trilogy -- exploring the aftermath of Order 66, which called for the immediate execution of all Jedi, and focusing on the continued rise of Darth Vader -- and a direct bridge to the Original Trilogy.

The Force Unleashed will forever change the fate of the Galaxy and explain key plot points that directly lead into events in Star Wars: A New Hope. With The Force Unleashed , LucasArts not only introduces a new chapter in the Star Wars saga, but also two completely new and innovative technologies -- Digital Molecular Matter by Pixelux Entertainment and euphoria by NaturalMotion Ltd. These groundbreaking technologies combine with Havoc physics to create true next-gen game play and the Force like it's never been seen or experienced before.

The Stars are Shining in This Game!
My sons love Star Wars! They really enjoy unlocking characters to play with by beating levels throughout the game. Unlike their Lego Star Wars, they are able to use Wii controllers to stab or hit the enemy. In Lego Star Wars, there are only two moves that you can really do. In this Star Wars game, you are able to control the light saber more and do many additional moves. My sons love the Wii-to-tv control of the light saber. They enjoy this realistic aspect of the game.

Good story. Bad game
As a Star Wars fan, I really wanted to like this game. Sadly, I was disappointed. There's really nothing to it once you get the controls down. It's just a typical hack and slash. I had hoped for something that required a little bit of skill, but ultimately, it's a "button pusher," or in the case of the Wii, wildly swinging around the controller.

The lightsaber battles are pretty weak. If you're hoping for skillful openings and finding and taking advantage of your opponents weakness, it's not here. Press some buttons, swing your controller a bunch, and press more buttons. Close your eyes if you want to. Give the controller to your two year old. It doesn't matter.

The storyline was great - but as you might guess, it didn't live up to the book version. I'd definitely recommend picking up the audio book version read by Jonathan Davis. That was worthwhile. But for the game, I found myself forcing through the terrible game play just to get to the next story cut scene.

One particular disappointment - you go through the game collecting bonus items, some of which unlock characters to play as during the duel mode. The only problem is, you need two players for the duel mode - they don't allow you to play against the computer. A lot of good that does a guy with an uninterested wife and a two year old kid.

It's sad that they didn't give this game much thought. I can't understand why Lucas Arts wouldn't use the Knights of the Old Republic game engine for this story. That would have made the game a million times more playable.

The bottom line is this: if you're a Star Wars fan, it's important that you know that there is worthwhile storyline here that you are going to want to know about - pick up the (audio) book. Once you've gone through the book, this might be worth picking up used if you're interested in seeing the story line played out. But for this Star Wars fan, it was a game that bored me halfway through and has utterly no replay value.

If you haven't played it yet, get Knights of the Old Republic. It received game of the year honors for good reasons. And then wonder why they aren't using this game engine to advance important story line instead of this boring hack and slash game engine.

Great, but not lasting
Star wars is really fun game. I mean the whole game is killing stormtroopers with a lightsaber. I mean who wouldn't like that?? I love this game and got it for Christmas. Unfortunately it is super short and I beat it in 6 days playing a total of 5 hours!! The problem with it is that there are barely any missions and when you die you somehow comeback as if nothing happened. Those are basically the major flaws in the game I would reccomend this game to anybody but if you want to save cash then just rent it. It isn't a piece of junk but still isn't something you'll play for a while.
