Missing Items
Although this product was a good value, 3 of the items were not in the package. I have contacted the company and we will see if and how they respond. I can say the items that were there are great, except the charging base is a little tight and it is difficult to get the game out of the charger. That may improve with time.

Christmas gift
Was a Christmas gift but shipped very fast and arrived in excellent shape. Looked really nice and the price was good.

good stuff
Bought it for my son and he is very happy with it. I cant really judge myself but as long as he is happy...

Good Little Moderately Priced Web Cam
I had the PS2 Eye Toy, which worked with the PS3 (For anyone considering a low cost alternative these sell used for about $5 and are readily available).

I decided to "Upgrade" for the zoom, better low light performance, built in microphones and for the downloadable software which will only work with the "new" Eye.

The video quality is definitely better. I run a projector so the light I have is minimal. The chat feature on PS3 sets a white background and this (on a 100" screen) is more than adequate to illuminate me on my old sofa. Unfortunately most of the other stuff (Fish tank and Editing Software) need more light to work properly).

As far as the microphone - you would be far better served with a Bluetooth headset. The 4 microphone configuration works decent, but the (output) volume seems low, it should be very close to you if you don't want to annoy the person on the other end whom you are communicating with.

For what this thing sells for I do believe it to be well worth the money, just don't expect it to do magic. The PS3 video of this little device makes it seem better than it is - but that could be said for basically all advertising.

On a side note your internet connection speed and the Sony servers are of more importance for a decent video chat session that the camera and microphone themselves.

Additionally "Home" currently has no web cam support and has limited (audio) chat capabilities. It's still in Beta though...

If this review helped you please remember to vote (Thank You).

PS3 Eye
I bought this item when it was available through "Gold Box" deal of the day. For 20$ its ok. I was expecting more from this product. The camera is mediocre and the mic isn't much better. I have a Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 for my computer and maybe I'm a bit spoiled with it's abilities. If you want voice chad get a blue tooth head set don't depend on this. If you can stand dull colored, badly lit, ok mic then go for it. I gave it 3 stars for the price i got it at. Any more than 20$ then it would have gotten 2 stars or less.

I Don't Care For It Much
I bought this for my PS3, and the device is a bit of a disappointment. The image is grainy and appears to reverses the actual image taken when viewed on the monitor. I bought it to work with Aquatopia on PS3, but the interface does not work very well. I felt I needed this toy as I was excited about my new PS3, but now I can say it was kind of a waste of money ( the camera and Aquatopia software both).

Customer Reviews

Make sure you know what you're buying ....
Buyer beware ... this version of the Xbox is not a replacement for your old Xbox.

I purchased this as a gift for my husband thinking that "Arcade" simply meant that this unit came with Arcade games, while the more expensive units came with better games. My fault for not looking into it more, but I'm hoping this review will save someone else from making the same mistake.

We were disappointed to discover that the Xbox Arcade can't play the older Xbox games. Yes, you can install a hard drive (that's what we did) but you will end up spending more on the hard drive/Arcade combo than you would if you just bought the regular Xbox 360. (Not to mention the headache of having to purchase and install a hard drive).

Otherwise a great product, my husband loves it. I don't need to elaborate much on the cool graphics and the great selection of games because I know others have already done so. But if you have a lot of old Xbox games you want to play on the Xbox 360, this is not a good investment. Get regular Xbox and save yourself the trouble and extra expense of having to install a hard drive after the fact.

DO NOT BUY!!!
I used to be a huge fan of Xbox. The original never broke down or ruined my games and still works just fine. Then theres the 360. I loved my 360 but in less than a year I had to send it back for repairs. I just received the system about a week ago and started playing fallout 3 and then the system scratched a huge ring in my disc and now it wont play.

I have been calling Xbox customer service and been hung up on 3 times for no reason, they kept saying "let me ask my supervisor what to do" and the line is dropped. I will NEVER buy an Xbox console EVER AGAIN!!! Anyone who has yet to buy a 360 DO NOT!!! You will have to send it back in less than a year anyway! I would say its a bad experience and its not common but one of my good friends had to do the exact same thing! My how the mighty have fallen.

Jasper chip
I got lucky and received an Xbox 360 with the Jasper chip through Amazon, but for those of you whom are thinking of buying one of these Arcade systems from amazon to get the Jasper chip set remember that ordering through Amazon makes the chance to getting a Jasper similar to playing roulette at this time. If you want the sure thing go to a store that sells 360s and look for the 12.1 that ensures the Jasper chip.

Customer Reviews

Best Price
I'm very pleased with the multiplayer capability afforded to me with this card. It's also the best value I could find anywhere with free shipping and the cheapest price, period. Call of Duty 4, Left 4 Dead, and Grand Theft Auto 4 have been a blast online.

Why do I have to pay for this?
Xbox Live is basically Microsoft's online store for Xbox products, games, and movies. That being said I have paid $300 for an Xbox, $50 a month for internet access and the USB input doesn't accept wireless router connections so another $50 for wireless connection in order to pay $50 a year for a shopping website membership? Why? Everything on Xbox Live costs money except for basic chat functions. Even downloading user created games costs money. Even if you have netflix and are paying a subscription for that you must also pay a monthly subscription to xbox to stream the movies via your OWN internet connection. Where is the justification?

You may argue that World of Warcraft and other online gaming communities charge monthly fees, but at least you know your money is going to continued game development, etc. and you KNOW what it is going to cost you to play upfront.

i can't believe i went so long without it
i don't know how i went so long without an xbox live membership. you know when a great game gets EVEN better when you play it with your friends or others, the whole multiplayer thing? well this is exactly what the xbox live membership does with your xbox! plus this was on special so i could not resist. downloading demos and stuff is great fun but all the games you've played and never tried them online, now is the time. it actually extends the replay value of your game and most of the time its a completely different world than any single player campaign in any game.

XBOX 360 System Bundle 60GB 2008
Have only had the system for a few days. Appears to be what we expected and as we purchase games more suited for mature teens and adults, we think that we will find the system to exceed our expectations. So far we recommend it highly.

Xbox 360 Pro Holiday Bundle 2008 Includes 60GB Hard Drive

Best console option by far
The Xbox 360 is a very versatile, powerful, and solid system that is far superior to the PS3 from my experience. There is an Xbox 360, Wii, and PS3 in my house and honestly, the Wii is only played when a group of people are over, the PS3 for blu-ray (though blu-ray players are cheap now and you can buy an Xbox and blu-ray player for less than the PS3), and the Xbox for EVERYTHING else.

We watch netflix movies on the xbox 360, play games on xbox live all the time, have fun with the wide variety of xbox arcade games available, and keep in touch with friends and family with chat and messaging. It is a much more complete, capable system and the consumer numbers just go to show that the xbox will outlast and outperform the PS3 (Wii is basically an entirely separate category with a different target consumer). My advice though... go with the 360 if you want a system that is superior, complete, and a much better value. Cheers!

Middle of the road system
I've been playing video games since the NES, and for a long time I had put off buying a next gen system, considering the PS2 to be the end of the road for me: The PS3s were WAY beyond my budget, the 360s had a huge failure rate, and I just might be the only person on the face of the earth who never enjoyed the Wii.

Finally after eyeing all the titles like The Orange Box, Bioshock, and FEAR that I had wanted to play for so long, I caved and bought a 360 Arcade in November. My original plan was to spend less, save on the warranty, and upgrade with an HDD later. DO NOT DO THIS. It ended up costing roughly the same as the current 60GB pro bundle (only about thirty less) and that was with a used 20GB HDD from the original bundles.

While you could buy an arcade along with a 60 GB Pro upgrade kit later for a total of three hundred currently, you'll still want to upgrade your video cable to at least component, and might (if you don't already have extra) want an ethernet cable too. The Pro comes with both of these saving you about fifty to sixty dollars more depending on where you shop.

Not to mention if you're smart you'll toss an extended warranty on that other HDD you just bought to cover a failure, raising its price even further. While everything is capable of being covered under one blanket warranty with the pro. It also comes with two free full games, although I'll probably never play Kung-fu Panda.

If you didn't really understand what I'm trying to say here it's that the Pro is the middle child, and usually best bet, in a series of three versions of the Xbox. There seems to be a lot of confusion about them as well so I'll clear that up now...

The Arcade is the basic, plug and play system. It has no HDD to store large amounts of data on, so you can't rip music to it or put pictures on it. Nor is it backwards compatible with the old Xbox games. You also (and most importantly) can't download most content from the marketplace or play the original Xbox games due to the absence of it.

However, you CAN STILL SAVE YOUR GAME among other things thanks to the complimentary 256MB memory card. Although this will only last so long. For example, a single save in Fallout 3 averages me about 4MBs each.

Also, while your standard AV cables are acceptable, you get much sharper and more accurate color from a component or HDMI cable. Neither of which come with this bundle.
And as far as games go, the Arcade leaves much to be desired. Granted, the games amuse for a while, but you can get the same enjoyment out of the demos (most of which are for the same games) that come preloaded on the Pro or Elite, plus if you don't like them you aren't out any money.

Not to mention no headset is included, which isn't a must but is nice when you're online with friends and like to actually articulate just what kind of support you need to capture the other flag.

The Pro comes with that component cable I mentioned, which when run in HD bumps the resolution up to 720p and can also be used with any non-HD TV with that same crisp color and sharp image so long as it has component ports. I'm currently running it on an HD compatible cathode ray tube (old big TV) with no problems. It also includes a wired headset (plugs into the controller), an ethernet cable so it's online ready, the two games, and a 60GB HDD.

The extra forty gigs on this really comes in handy as on the old 20 GB pro bundles you really only had around thirteen after formatting it while the rest was used for system data. The drive is also preloaded with things like gamer pictures for your profile, and some pretty fun demos. I still play Heavy Weapon and Geometry wars a lot myself and will until I buy the full versions whenever I get around to that.

Since it has a hard drive, this also means you have space to download things like movies, demos, game updates, etc. Just like you would for your PC. You can even install a game to your drive and play it from there to cut down on noise and heat since the disc isn't spinning nearly as much. Granted, you're only going to be able to fit five or six games on here at a time depending on how much other stuff you have on there, but I don't usually find myself playing more games than that at once anyway and just delete whatever I haven't used in a while. You can always reinstall it later. :)

You'll probably notice your games running a bit smother too since that drive space allows for disk caching, which takes a bit of strain off the processing units.
All in all a great rounder that seems to be the console of choice for almost everyone, and for good reason.

Last but not least is the Elite. Also called the "New retard edition" by some launch articles, it's basically the just the Pro painted black with a 120GB drive, some free live time (more on that later), and an HDMI cable. I really can't think of any reason to recommend this unless you really like the color black, or hate third party cables, since you can save money by buying a third party cable or used cable separately. And if you REALLY need the space you can always upgrade either of the others with a 120GB HDD later anyway.

That's about it. Other than that they're essentially all the same... None of them have Li batteries in the controllers out of the box, and run on double a's until you pic up a play and charge kit yourself.

The failure rates, although much lower than the launch systems, are still present and even across the board since they all have the same chipset. So make sure you say yes when asked if you want that extended warranty, because while Microsoft offers a standard extended warranty on a "Red Ring of Death" situation, sending YOUR system in doesn't always mean you get YOUR system back. It isn't uncommon for someone to get someone else's refurbished system in return, and I'm unsure of how they handle saved data (if at all).
However, when purchased virtually anywhere else with a new warranty, any replicated failures mean you get a new system on the spot (usually).

So why should you buy this over the more powerful PS3, or weaker but more innovative Wii? To be blunt, power isn't everything and innovation means nothing if all your games are geared for the newly breed/nearly dead.

Despite the fact that the system doubles as a blu-ray player, currently the PS3 is an tool developers aren't using to it's full potential. While games have better lighting effects and can usually run at a high frame per second rate more consistently, I was willing to sacrifice minor graphical prowess for a wider variety of games that were more appealing to me. And that's what it's all about; the games. Which is the same reason I didn't really enjoy anything for the Wii other that Trauma Center when I had the Wii back at launch.

Everything was either a port that was awkwardly shoe-horned into a broken control scheme, or something I might buy my five year old niece for her birthday.
It's the same problem Nintendo has had for a while now, being interesting games like Resident Evil, Guitar Hero, and even flagships like Twilight Princess are available on other (or previous) systems where they play better, and in return for their renewed success you're loyalty is rewarded with regurgitated Poke'mon tripe. Granted you can purchase and play older games for systems like the NES and SNES, but that's what free emulators and roms are for.

However, all this should come with a big grain of salt. That being, multiplayer is not free on the 360, nor is it wireless capable out of the box.
Not being wireless capable wouldn't be so bad though, if it weren't for the fact that the Microsoft adapter costs a c-note new in box, and the other cheaper Linksys ones that were compatible are no longer in production. While there is a sixty to seventy dollar third party unit, it still isn't a huge improvement since you can get the same tech, which does the same thing, for your laptop for about thirty bucks at Walmart. What this is is just a case of Microsoft trying to make more money by locking you to their product.

As far as not being able to access multiplayer without paying fifty bucks a year for a "Gold" (i.e. premium) Xbox live account is just asinine. I can understand paying for new content for games, like new maps or guns. I don't have a problem with that. But what Microsoft is asking you to do here is to pay to access a feature you already have, on a game you already own, with the system you already bought, over a connection you already pay for.
Which is really quite tragic since it's the only thing keeping my from giving this a perfect score.

Customer Reviews

Not compatible with Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 2
I bought this with the hope of using it with "Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 2" but I can't get it to work with it. I was hoping I could use a wireless dance pad because I don't like the idea of a long cable snaking across the floor which someone could trip over and knock down my Wii.

I think this is a problem with "Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 2" and not with the ICON wireless dance pad because I heard that "Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 2" has problems with other third party dance pads. I hope the makers of "Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 2" can come up with a fix to make it compatible with more third party dance pads.

The wireless dance pad itself seems well made. It has a rubberized bottom so it shouldn't slip or slide on the floor. It comes with a little wireless receiver that plugs into the GameCube compatible port on the Wii. The dance pad uses 4 AAA batteries. When you turn on the dance pad (using a little switch at the front of the pad), it briefly flashes a red light indicating it is trying to sync with the wireless receiver connected to the Wii. Once it is connected, the red light disappears and the wireless receiver will output a steady green light which is supposed to indicate that it is connected with its dance pad.

Unfortunately, I cannot report on how well it works because it seems to be incompatible with "Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 2".

It helps to care the Balance Board.
The Wii Fit Balance Board Sleeve, really helps to take care of the Fit BBoard, and helps to avoid the damage coming from a dirty floor. It fix really easy, without any problem at all, and you can choose to cover your Wii Fit with the green side or the black one. I really recommend this one to protect your Balance Board.

Great, Simple Wii Fit Balance Board Protection!
This is exactly what I was seeking - A simple solution to protect our Wii Fit from dust, dog hair, and curious toddler hands when not in use. It isn't fancy but it is a stylish, if basic, sleeve of durable neoprene that holds the balance board snugly, with a pair of built-in handles.

The handles do sag a bit under the weight of the balance board when carried, but it gets the job done. It is keenly reversible to green or black - we chose the green as the dog's hair seems to jump at black! About my only complaint is that it's priced a bit on the high side from a value perspective, but I bought one anyway, and won't be returning it since I haven't found anything better!

Wii carry case
Excellent neoprene case to carry my Wii. Shipping was fast and the product seem to hold up good!

Customer Reviews

Probably NOT worth it...
I bought this from amazon a week ago. Their processing and shipping time were incredible--5 stars to amazon for that! However, I would think twice before purchasing this product.

I went into it with my expectations managed--knowing the Wii is not HD and that this product would not make a huge difference. However, I did not expect to go backwards in video quality...and that is exactly what I've experienced. And, after searching nintendo's message boards, a lot of others have said the same thing. If I had it to do over again, I'd put the $15 toward a new game.

I will say that overall the color and some of the image quality is better. But, my experience is that with any game that uses Mii's (Wii Sports, Wii Music, Wii Fit...), with this video cable and the Wii configured for 480p, the Mii's look terrible--very jagged edges. I've messed with this a lot and if I set the Wii back to 480i, it looks normal.

But, what is the point if I have a HDTV, component video cables and I can't set the Wii to 480p? To me this defeats the whole purpose.

I called Nyko to see if they could clarify this and pretty much got nowhere. I really think these companies are putting out all these useless Wii

Wii Component Cable
Works well. Have not had any problems during the three months that I have had it. Produces slightly better quality images than the composite cables that came with the Wii.

Don't overspend on this item
I bought this cable after going to Best Buy in my neighborhood and seeing nothing under $40 for an HD cable. They wanted $64 for the MC version. Don't waste your money. This cable performs just as well for a much better price. If you are anything of a videophile you will notice the difference immediately. Highly recommended.

lots of fun
Difficult to start for the beginner, but lots of fun learning. Took a little longer to receive than I expected, but within the time they specified.

Fun for one and more for four
DDR2 is a sneaky way to get some exercise. Its ok for one to play. If you have an audience they must heckle. So get three more quality dance mats. I recommend the Konami mats since the cheap ones likely may not work right out of the box. When you have the extra mats all the critics seem to be too busy with their own two left feet to give you grief.

It can be challenging and fun.

The graphics are basic and do not match your movements. Pay attention to the beat and not the screen distractions.

Its a recommended buy.

Additional info
I just got DDR Hottest Party 2 last weekend. I thought it would be wireless like the Wii controllers. Unfortunately, it's not. I haven't used it yet because the cord on the dance mat is too short. We have a 50" big screen TV. There's no way we can put the Wii console on the floor. If you have a TV big enough that you have to put all your tech on top of it, make sure you buy an extension cord for the mat.

You can find the cord online under Gamecube controller extension. They run between $3.25 and $20 depending on the site, shipping is extra (of course). Amazon doesn't have it but they do post a link to a seller as of 12/2/08. Everyone I know who has this game loves it. I look forward to swapping it off with Wii Fit. Fit gets a little boring after you've unlocked all the levels.

psp screen protector
good quality for the price, although they could have made it slightly bigger for the psp slim. make sure when applying that you get it dead center by not starting exactly from the edge as you will notice a gap on the other side if you do. in other words, as you line it up using either the left or right side edge of the screen, give yourself about a millimeter from the edge and you should be dead center with another millimeter gap on the other side.

Take your time!!!
I was really excited when I got the filter. I rip off the max for the filter and slap the filter on the psp screen. I was disappoint. There was massive amount of air bubble on the screen. Then I remember people talking about the credit card trick to which you take the card and slowly scrape the air bubble out. That did not work... I went on youtube and found out that you have to slow place the filter down while slowly scraping the filter at the time. Learn from my mistake.

1. Clean the psp as clean as you can.
2. Have a credit card or any type of card on hand.
3. READ I repeat READ which mask to take off. For some reason this will make less air bubble.
4. slowly and easily match the corner of the filter to the psp screen and lay it down while using the card to scrape out any air bubble.
5. Take off the top layer of the filter's mask.
6. Enjoy your psp. XD

Gr8 Stuff
The protective filter fitted like a glove, it gives a draker depth to the PSP screen which is really good.

Just get it!!

Features

System
With Nintendo DS Lite, dual screens and touch-screen technology allow you to interact with games like never before. Wireless communication allows you to experience real-time multiplayer gameplay, and the free Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service allows you to compete against players from around the globe.

Lighter. Brighter. With dual screens, a touch screen, wireless gameplay and more.

Double the fun with two screens.

Dual Screens:

Two incredibly bright LCD screens offer one of the most groundbreaking gameplay advances ever developed. Each 3-inch screen can reproduce a true 3D view, with impressive 3D renderings that can surpass images displayed on the Nintendo 64.

Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection:
Ready to take on the world? Now, with Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, you can connect wirelessly, chat and play with Nintendo DS owners across the globe. All you need to play is a Nintendo DS and a Wi-Fi-ready game. There are no subscription fees -- the service is free!

Touch Screen Technology:
The lower screen offers something never before provided by any dedicated game device: touch-screen capabilities. You no longer have to rely on just buttons to move your character or shift perspectives. Navigate menus or access inventory items simply by touching the screen with a stylus or fingertip. The possibilities are limited only by developers' imaginations. The touch screen features a tougher film cover for durability, and the included stylus is stored in the back of the unit.

Microphone Port:
A built-in microphone port means that with Nintendo DS, you only need to tell your games what to do. The Nintendo DS microphone gives you even more ways to interact with your favorite games.

Wireless Network:
With Nintendo DS Lite, you can connect with a local wireless network of up to 16 players. The wireless range can be an incredible 30 to 100 feet and for some games, multiplayer requires just one Nintendo DS game card.

Note: Nintendo DS Lite wireless communication, including PictoChat, is not private and is not monitored by Nintendo. We recommend that you never reveal any personal information or arrange to meet a stranger.

Rich Stereo Sound:
Nintendo DS Lite sound capabilities allow for greatly expanded use of voices and music, and a richer, more immersive game experience. Stereo speakers allow for virtual surround sound and a plug for headphones transmits stereo sound.

Backward Compatibility:
Nintendo DS Lite features a separate media port for Game Boy Advance cartridges, allowing you to play all your favorite Game Boy Advance games in single-player mode.

Technical Specs:

A Touch Screen means you no longer have to rely on just buttons.

* Size (closed): 133 millimeters (5.2 inches) wide, 73.9 millimeters (2.9 inches) long, 21.5 millimeters (0.85 inches) tall.

Customer Reviews

7yr. old loves it
My son got it for a birthday present and loves it. Amazed at hot it works and the WI-FI is awesome to use with someone else.
Everyone needs a DS!
I didn't hop on the DS bandwagon when they first came out. I was a devout Sony fan and was holding out for my PSP. My husband surprised me with my PSP for Christmas 2 years ago and I was in love! At least I was for a couple of weeks until I realized that the game library was severely lacking any titles that I really wanted to play.

Still wanting a hand-held gaming device, I looked into the DS shortly after the Lite was released. I haven't looked back since! I've had my DS for over a year now and I am in love all over again. The DS really is a revolutionary device. We've had touch screen devices for years, but never a dedicated gaming device with a touch screen. Before I bought the DS, I thought the idea of a touch screen was rather gimmicky, but let me tell you, it adds SO much to the experience. You feel like you are really interacting with your puppies in Nintendogs and you're really cooking up that great stew in Cooking Mama.

It just adds so much to the immersion, which I would never have thought possible on this tiny device. I have never had any issues with my touch screen. It has always been perfectly responsive and has never let me down. Gameplay is seamless and the touch screen controls become second nature. PSP has great graphics, I agree, but when forced to choose between great graphics and truly engaging and fun gameplay, I choose the latter.

DS Lite also wins out on size. Even vs the PSP Slim, it is still smaller and easier to slip in my purse to take with me wherever I go. It's light, comfortable in your hands, and the controls are placed just right so that playing is easy and enjoyable.

Where the DS truly shines, however, is it's game library. You have a huge range to choose from, from kid's edutainment (thank you!!) to girly games where you take care of babies/puppies to games where you cook meals and design hair and wardrobe to games that adults love as much as kids like Brain Age and Super Mario Bros. and the like. The DS really has something for everyone.

I do notice, however, that my husband, brothers and dad don't really play the DS much. It seems to be geared toward girls and kids, which I certainly don't mind because that's a first in the gaming world. I've been gaming since I was 5 years old on the Atari and I appreciate a system that acknowledges that girls and little kids, like my 3-year-old son, like video games, too, and we want to do more than blow up buildings and shoot people (no thanks!!).

The DS is intuitive enough for my 3-year-old to control, though I would not buy a DS for a child of this age range. He is very responsible with it and handles it very well, but there aren't a whole lot of games that are geared for his age range and that just makes for frustration. Opt for a Leapster instead for a few years, which also features a great touch screen and a huge educational game library.

I can't rave enough about the DS, but I will recommend that you pick up a few essentials if you are planning on buying one. Find yourself some Hori screen protectors. They are AWESOME! And really necessary to prolong the life of your DS. I would never play without them. The screens are naturally very resistant to scratches, but for a few dollars you can add some great protection and completely erase the worry of scratches from your mind.

Also, pick up a crystal case if the DS is going to be played with by a child or young adult. For under $10 you can completely protect the exterior of the DS from scratches and dings and it does not add much bulk to the unit. I was a nervous wreck every time my son played my DS until I got a crystal case.

Last, get a nice carrying case. Don't just toss it in a bag and be content with that. For girls, ALS Industries makes an ADORABLE purse carrying case which is big enough for the DS, several game cases (I have 9 in mine right now), earbuds, charger, extra styli, you name it. Walmart, Best Buy, Circuit City, they all carry them. And for the record, they're the perfect size for your PSP and Archos 5, too. :)

Take care of your DS and it will last you for years to come. Durability has never been an issue with Nintendo products. I still have my original NES and it still works like new, 20 years later!

Want the Nintendo DS? Here's how to get it for five bucks
Christmas is coming so save your cash! Why purchase something you can get for five bucks.

Go to gifts4xmas.co.cc and sign up. Complete ONE offer - I would recommend Netflix

All companies are well known so there is no risk involved- give it a go! I got my Nintendo DS and many other things this way, so don't miss out.

I was a sceptic once but now I am SO glad I gave it a chance.

Many items to choose from!

Its like other expensive HDMI cables
The cable eventhough cheap is well made and looks like other expensive cables. I compared the picture quality with other expensive cable that I got from bestbuy and didnt find any difference. Dont waste your money on those other expensive cables. This is awesome. I got three of these cables for the price of one expensive cable.

Works fine
High priced cables may be slightly better, but at only 6 feet, line losses are insignificant and, with digital, things either work or they don't. This cable works fine between my Sony Blu-Ray BDP S350 and Mitsubishi 40" LCD HD TV.

Does the job.
This item was received as described, brand new. It works good. I don't see any difference in picture quality with this one and with the one I bought at Walmart for the TV. It arrived FAST too.

Thanks to its compact, ergonomic design, the headset fits comfortably on either ear for hours of use. Sony smartly put a large mute button that is easily accessible, making it especially friendly to gamers.

Bluetooth Support Lets You Use It
When you're done gaming, you can keep the headset on your ear for use with most Bluetooth-enabled cell phone. It supports the Bluetooth 2.0 standard and is compatible with Bluetooth 1.1 and higher devices.

Charging Stand Included
A charging stand is included with the headset, providing a convenient and handsome way to display it while it is charging. In addition, the headset also works as a desktop microphone when it is plugged in and charging.

The Headset has an operating range of 30 feet.

The Headset has an HQ mode for optimum audio quality on your PlayStation 3.

Customer Reviews
The Most Uncomfortable Headset Ever!!!!
This headset feals way to big to fit in your ear comfortably. It is also difficult to turn on and off because you must hold down the button for about 10-15 seconds before it will turn on or off. Also the only way you can charge your headset is to have it plugged in via USB cord to your PS3 while it is turned on. My last headset just plugged into the wall and that made much more since.

Pro's
On screen display to tell you if headset is on or off and whether on mute or not

Sound is clear

Works for at least 8 hours on a charge

Includes a stand to charge your headset on

An Essential Part of Your PS3 Experience
This headset comes bundled with SOCOM: Confrontation, and it is everything that game is not. The headset is simple, stable, it sounds great, fits well, lasts a LONG time on batteries, works seamlessly with the PS3, and can take some punishment. (I accidentally dropped it about six feet onto a hardwood floor. Didn't miss a beat.)

When I first started using it, other players began saying things like: "What headset are you using? You sound good as h**l!" It came in handy when playing LittleBigPlanet, it works in the Home beta, and future PS3 titles will benefit tremendously from it. SOCOM or not, this is a great device.
Nice Headset
I havent used any other bluetooth headsets for my PS3 but I have heard plenty of them in use while playing online games. This headset delivers your voice in a clear and clean tone and is suprisingly comfortable to wear. Everyone always asks me what headset I am using because it sounds so good. Definitely worth a purchase if you dont have a headset already or if you are looking for an affordable upgrade to the current one you are using. You can also use this with your bluetooth capable cell phone as well.

Customer Reviews

What a Rip-Off!!!!!
This 5-in-one Wii Fit bundle was a complete rip-off! The carrying case is a pathetic, cheap, thin little thing that wouldn't protect the board at all if you carried it inside (assuming the seams didn't tear from the weight of the board.)

The battery pack doesn't work when I stand on the board, it is disconnecting from my weight (which is well within the 300 pounds the balance board is rated for.)

There was only 1 pair of socks in the package (not the 3 I paid for) but they don't fit my women's size-11 feet anyway because they're made for kids I guess. They barely pull up over my heels.

The exercise mat isn't bad, it's a decent thickness and size but I could have bought it separately for $8 and saved $43 because the cover for the board isn't worth much, either. It doesn't stay in place because the little plug-in bobs don't line up properly with the holes on the bottom of the board.

All in all, a terrible purchase that I am seriously considering returning (what a hassle!)

Bottom Line: SAVE YOUR MONEY!

Not what you see.
I ordered this product with it showing that it came with the balance board, I got my order and it did not come with it. So, I called Amazon to have them send me another order but including the balance board as shown in the advertisement. They said they would send me out another one and that it would be in there, but it wasn't. If it doesn't come with the board, the advertisement should read balance board not included. Now, I'm having to return both orders and am not very happy with Amazon for the first time out of all my orders. Christine P., Texas

Wii - Whee!
Wow, this was actually fun and I've gotten my nieces and husband to join me. My favorite? The Hula Hoop, it rocks! I even do the running - which I never do!

Customer Reviews

Good bag
Nice material and construction. The best choice to protect your PSP. I recommend this with a cristal protection.

Mediocre - Disapointment - below average case
I bought this for my psp slim daxter edition. I do NOT recommend this case. Although it holds 4 umds and many memory sticks, this case will not protect your $200 slim well enough.

1-It is too Thick.

2-It is of inferior materials. The outside is a lame rubberized material, and the inner material is low quality and gives off a huge amount of lint.

3-There is a superfluous and annoying caribener loop on the outside. There is no reason to have this large loop on the case. It protrudes too far In my opinion.

4-There is a possibility of the case scratching your ipod. There is a metal button/rivet contacting the back of the psp when it is stored. This is just plain RECKLESS. I put a peice of electrical tape over this.

5-It is oerpriced for the quality of material. This should be a $5 case, not a $10 case.

6-It is UGLY. There are no markings or designs on the case, just plain black. I think this looks bad. This is a matter of opinion though, maybe others would like this. The surface would accept stickers nicely though.

There are a plethora of psp slim cases out there. There is no reason to purchase this one. Many are superior and sometimes even cheaper, for the love of God buy a different case.

It does what you expect
I got this a few months ago for my psp slim, and it works fine. It protects my psp perfectly, and it has the necessary space for everything. I even carry my USB cable inside the case and it's a long cable; and everything fits without problems.

A smart buy for anyone and a great way to protect your psp. Very Recommended!

Very smart purchase if you own a DS
Really like all the stuff that comes in the travel kit. Really like the screen savers, they really help from screens getting damaged.

Great Nintendo DS Lite Deal
Wow,... this game is great, not to mention the Nintendo DS Lite. I am NOT a video game person at all, but I am having a great time training my brain and it really works. I highly recommend shopping with Amazon.com, the Nintendo DS Lite and Brain Age.

Convenient Travel Kit
This travel case has it all...car charger, extra stylus, carry case and more. I particularly like the carrying case which holds about everything including the Nintendo ds. Appears well built; great buy for the $ spent.

Customer Reviews

A must have with the new Xbox Live experience
The 120gb memory HDD is definitely a must have with the new Xbox live experience for mainly the sole reason that you can download you games to the HDD and this takes up serious amounts of memory space.

Pricey but Worthwhile
If you've filled (or almost filled) your Xbox 360's 20GB hard drive and you are considering this upgrade but worried about (a) how difficult it is to install, (b) how hard it is to transfer data from the old to new drive, or (c) the price, then stop worrying and buy this!

While I can't do anything about (c) except mention like many of the other reviewers that I feel it's overpriced, I can tell you that (a) and (b) are a snap. Even if you are not technically inclined, this upgrade drive is very easy to install. The transfer kit that comes with this consists of a disc and a cable and works like this:

With your old drive still attached to your XBOX, use the cable to connect the new drive and put the disc in. Follow a few simple steps and then wait for the transfer of your old data onto the new drive. Then just unclip the old drive and snap on the new one. That's it! You're done!

My primary reasons for wanting this drive were twofold--the new XBOX Experience dashboard that debuts Nov 18, and extra ROCK BAND tracks. I also have some TV shows downloaded, and of course game demos and game content. I was down to my last 3GB. Now I have a little over 90GB free!

Lastly, a couple of notes which some might find useful: the transfer kit ONLY allows you to transfer data from a small hard drive to a larger one (not vice versa), so there is no going back to your 20GB drive once you use this. Your original 20GB drive is erased and formatted as part of the upgrade process. However, your original 20GB hard drive may still be used as a storage drive after you've done the transfer/upgrade. Just like your 20GB hard drive (advertised) was only around 13GB (actual), the 120GB is more around 100GB.

Conclusion: While I agree that this is a lot to pay for a 120GB hard drive by today's market, I am certainly glad that I bought this. The included transfer kit makes the upgrade easy, and having all that free space on my XBOX gives peace of mind for future downloads.

Hard Drive
This is a great upgrade for my XBox 360. The only problem I have with it is it still is very overpriced, but Amazon had a cheaper price then other places.

Customer Reviews

Too sensitive
Overall these are pretty cool additions, they look great. However, they do seem to be very sensitive and will register double hits if you hit them too hard. They do take some getting used to, and i probably only use the blue and green with any consistency.

Excellect Addition to RB Drum Kit
This has got to be a must have add on.

Assembly: The instructions were easy to read a wend together within minutes (Note: Some force will need to be applied to get wing nuts to catch). I did use a Leatherman to get the sides together so I could tighten it down.

Gameplay: This is going to depend on you. I don't use the yellow one very much, especially in the fast songs, I just find it easier to hit the notes on the normal pads. The blue I do use quite a bit and the green I love. It's so much better than reaching all the way back. Either way the strikes were accurate and no noticeable lag was detected.

I did notice in the game it takes advantage of the extra hardware. You'll notice the green, blue, and yellow pad will be the sounds of drums (as opposed to cymbals or high hats. Either will work in song, but it impressed me that it's able to differentiate the two. I though with the cord it would just duplicate the coordinating pad

Product Description

Contoured to perfectly fit a player's hand, the Nunchuk controller builds on the simplicity of the Wii Remote controller and goes an extra step to meet the needs of gamers. The Nunchuk controller connects to the Wii Remote controller at its expansion port and is used in conjunction with the Wii Remote controller. The Nunchuk controller contains the same motion-sensing technology enabled in the Wii Remote controller but also includes an analog stick to assist in character movement.

In several games, players will use the analog stick of the Nunchuk controller to move their characters and the Wii Remote controller to perform a specific action, whether that's throwing a pass in football or aiming a ranged weapon in an action game.Along with the analog stick, the motion-sensing Nunchuk controller also contains two buttons positioned for quick access. Because the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers are only relatively dependent on each other, players are free to hold them in whichever hand is most comfortable. The ambidextrous nature of the Wii controllers grants accessibility seldom seen in game controllers.

Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com
The Wii Nunchuk controller is a secondary controller that adds even more innovation to the next generation of gaming, and does it all with less physical movement.

Used in conjunction with the standard Wii remote, certain games need the Nunchuk controller for additional control options. Contoured perfectly to fit a player's hand,

The Wii Nunchuk (left) connects directly to the Wii remote. View larger.

the Nunchuk controller builds on the simplicity of the Wii Remote controller. The Nunchuk contains the same three-axis motion sensor found in the Wii Remote, but also includes an analog stick, and two buttons to help assist in character movement.

Many games will allow you to control your character's movement with the Nunchuk in your left hand, while your right hand is free to execute the action movements with the Wii Remote. For example, the Nunchuk is particularly useful for games like Wii Boxing. You can use the Nunchuk to punch with your weaker hand, while you use the Wii remote to punch and jab with your predominant hand.

Take the fun to the next level with two-handed control of your games. View larger.

In first-person shooters, the Nunchuk controller carries the burden of movement, freeing you to aim and fire using a more natural motion with the Wii Remote. In a football game, you can make your quarterback elusive with the Nunchuk controller while you search for an open receiver to throw to using the Wii Remote. Serious gamers may even want to use two Nunchuk controllers to gain a fierce competitive edge.

Because the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers are only relatively dependent on each other, players are free to hold them in whichever hand is most comfortable. Perfectly suitable for either right or left-hand use, the Wii Nunchuk controller grants accessibility not often seen in previous game controllers.

Also, the Nunchuk controller doesn't need its own power--it plugs into the Wii Remote controller when it's in use. So there's no need to worry about charging or replacing expensive batteries.

Adding a Nunchuk to your Wii system will definitely help you open the doors to the next level of gaming, and seriously step up performance. Just be careful not to knock out your significant other, or bruise the dog, severely, while using one, or two Nunchuk controllers.

Superbly simple Bluetooth remote works like a charm
Sony's got a winner with this one. If you use your PS3 as a DVD/BluRay player, you'll appreciate the easy to navigate remote that makes navigating DVD menu screens much easier. It would be better with backlit buttons, but hey, it's only 20 bucks and it does everything exactly as advertised with a solid build quality to boot. This should really have been included in the box with the PS3. Excellent.

Excelent Choice
The Sony PlayStation 3 Blu-ray Disc Remote is the best choice for people who use the PS3 mainly as a Blu-Ray Disc reproducer. Very easy to use. Complete functions. Totally recommended.

Worth the money.....Definitely5
It's not only a Blueray remote. It will control movies that you stream over a network to your PS3, which is great. I like it a lot and would recommend buying one if you have a PS3.

Looks Like Fun
I purchased this for my son for Christmas to go along with the Force Unleashed game. It looked like it would be really neat, so I hope it works well for him.

The kids will have fun, just not during the game.
The Thrustmaster Glow Saber Duo Pack get's a lot of use in our house, just not while playing Star Wars Force Unleashed. The kids find it hard to swing while in game play. On the flip side, they love to use them as lightsabers battling each other. For the cost, their well worth it in the end.

These lightsabers SUCK!
The idea behind these is cool. But, the problem is, Thrustmaster didn't think this through. The sensor on the Wii remote is covered when you add the light sabers to it. So, the lightsaber lights up, but that's it. Your characters lightsaber will NOT move! The light is blocked, you'll have to take the lightsaber off to make it work! Do not buy this product for any game that requires the Wii remotes sensor light (which is basically all of them, right?).

Customer Reviews

LOVE IT! but... The Trigger needs a mod to be great! Try This...
I like this unit it's better than any of the others out there that I have tried and I really enjoy using it even over using my modified Zapper. However it really takes a toll on your trigger finger. The spring they use is ok if you don't shoot a lot... But I want a very light trigger as my wife and I play lightgun games for hours.

So I took a screwdriver to it and undid all the screws and popped out the spring that was stiff and now while it might rattle a little bit, it works brilliantly! I'm ordering another one and will modify that one as well. Yes I know that it voids the warranty, but so what? It's way easier to shoot with and my wifes scores went waaaay up as did mine on Ghost Squad.

We will be trying in out on Link's Crossbow later. Just be careful when you take out the screws to be gentle and only pry it open enough to remove the spring which is located on the top of the unit where the Wiimote slides in, the spring is near the back. Also be careful taking the orange brace at the end off so that it doesn't break the little nubs that hold it in place.
Great unit, I highly reccomend it.

Wii gun with good grip, decent weight, rapid firing
This plastic gun has a good grip, so it doesn't totally feel like a toy except for the fact it's white and blue with an orange tip. You must remove silicone jacket and wrist safety strap, so I leave one of my extra remote controllers inside for convenience. I feel that the trigger button has good bounce back for more rapid firing. Although made of plastic, the materials seem well made and heavy enough (with the remote) to feel realistic, not like a toy.

I bought 2 guns, one which is easy to slip in the remote controller, but I think the other one is defective (I can see the alignment stubs are 1-2 mm too high to slide along the remote controller). Hope it's not too late to exchange it!

I use this gun for Duck Hunt in Wii Play, which makes the game more enjoyable. For the price, it's a fun accessory. I just wish Wii offered more non-violent gun games, such as the original Duck Hunt.

By the way, I used this Wii gun as an accessory to my Halloween costume, Sexy Spy! It was a hit with the boys of course.

Nyko Perfect Shot for the Wii.
It's a great product... although a little difficult to manage some of the buttons on the gun that are on top of the controller. You can reach them and fire at the same time... so you kinda have to use your left hand while its holding the nunchuk. That part is difficult... but, overall its much better than just using the controller to aim and fire.

Customer Reviews

OK, but not a must have
The only reason I got it was because it came with a bundle that I thought I would have to buy before Wii became widely available again. With the tennis racket on, there is no way to set up the game, the signal is blocked but you can still play with it after it is set up. It is just easier playing without the raquet. The golf club is pointless. It's barely adds more than a foot to the remote. The bat is ok, but removing it to pitch is a pain.

The wheel works but the B button on the botton is hard to reach while holding the wheel. The Nintendo wheel is so much nicer. We played rockpaperscissors to determine the loser who had to use this wheel. Not a must have. Put your money toward another game.

Don't buy this
I bought this item thinking it will be fun to play wii using the items in sports pack. I connected the baseball bat and it was almost impossible to take it out. Finally, when I got it out and connected the tennis racket, it was so loose that use to come out. I almost hit my TV twice.

Don't buy this item. Its a piece of crap.

grand slam
I ordered the wii grand slam sports pack as a Christmas present for my daughter. She's waited months to get this. I can't wait to see her face on Christmas morning when she opens her new wii grand slam sports pack.

Amazon.com Product Description
As DVD playback made the PlayStation 2 more than just a game machine, hefty multi-media features make the Sony PlayStation 3 an even more versatile home entertainment machine. Features such as video chat, Internet access, digital photo viewing, and digital audio and video will likely make it the central component of your media set-up. Still, it is first and foremost a game console--and a powerful one at that.

Under the Hood
The PS3 features IBM's "Cell" processor and a co-developed Nvidia graphics processor that makes the system able to perform two trillion calculations per second. That's approximately 320 times more calculations per second than the PS2. Along with the traditional AV and composite connections, it also boasts an HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) port, which delivers uncompressed, unconverted digital picture and sound to compatible high-definition TV and projectors. The system is capable of 128-bit pixel precision and 1080p resolution for a full HD experience.

PlayStation 3 is a powerful gaming and home entertainment machine.

Blu-Ray is the New Way
Sony's PlayStation 3 games are encoded onto the Blu-Ray disc media format, which can hold six times as much data as traditional DVDs. This increase in capacity, combined with the awesome power of its processor and graphics card, promises mind-blowing games once developers have learned how to fully harness the new console's power. The PS3 will also support CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD, DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD+R formats.

Use a variety of hand-to-hand combat moves to neutralize enemies. View larger.

Explore an exotic locale to find the hidden treasure. View larger.
In addition, PlayStation 3 system software update version 2.20 and up includes BD Live support. With this you can now play discs that support Blu-ray Disc Profile 2.0 (BD-LIVE) and you can also connect to the Internet while playing discs that support this format so that you can obtain additional features. Features that are available vary depending on the software in use.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is included with this Sony PlayStation 3 bundle pack. The game begins with a 400-year-old clue found in the coffin of famed explorer, Sir Francis Drake. The clue sends modern-day fortune hunter, Nathan Drake, on a quest to find the fabled treasure of El Dorado, leading to the discovery of a long forgotten island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The expedition turns deadly when Drake's party becomes stranded on an island and hunted by modern day pirates. Outnumbered and outgunned, Nathan must fight to survive and unravel the terrible secrets of the mysterious island.

Adventure, Mystery, and Exploration Abound
Using maps and ancient artifacts you'll uncover clues and unravel mysteries that will reveal a forgotten island a lost treasure. This uncharted world is alive with intrigue and mystery, and you'll revel in the amazing graphics as you explore exotic locations and traverse through living jungles and 400-year-old ruins. Drake's not all on his own -- his companions and allies play an important role in the adventure through cooperative gameplay mechanics, gun play, and exploration.

Action-Packed gameplay
Your abilities will be tested, challenge after challenge, as you struggle to stay alive by any means necessary. Thrilling high-speed chases over land and water and terrifying gunfire will keep you on the edge of your seat. And if that's not enough, you'll need to employ an array of hand-to-hand combat moves to keep your enemies off balance with haymaker punches and running drop-kicks.

Charming, exciting, and adventure-packed, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is an excellent addition to this Sony PlayStation 3 game console bundle.

PS3 Console
Hi all,
I do not own the PS3 160GB yet. I do own the original 60GB. I was lucky to get the last of it before they were completely out. My 60GB is great. The backward compatability was a must for me since I had given away my PS2 console. So I felt comfortable at the time purchasing the PS3 and getting the best of both worlds. Just as the previous reviewer stated using up the hard drive happens quickly especially with these newer games that dump to your hard drive for faster access.

So having a bigger hard drive makes sense. I am considering buying PS3 160GB and use it as a blu-ray player, store pictures, videos, etc. and keep using the 60GB for game playing. I have both PS3 60GB and Xbox 360 consoles. I got scared recently when my Xbox 360 froze up on me. I immediately went out and purchase the Xbox 360 Elite. I am heavy into online gaming this is why I like the Xbox platform for that reason only. I do prefer PS3 because I believe it is a more robust system.

I have not had any problems with my current PS3. The system is awesome. I am just not too satisfy with their online gaming system or setup in general in comprison to the Xbox online setup. Other than that PS3 is great and the way to go in my opinion. I am just praying for the PS3 online to get better and have more users online. I have traveled extensively to Asia and Sony PS2, PS3 is very popular.

My experience over in Asia playing with PS2, PS3 system makes it hard for me to look any other way too much other than PS system. The PS3 system I think gives you a better bang for your money. I find it is less prone to breakage than the Xbox 360. I am on my second Xbox 360 because of this reason and not by choice. I am going to purchase the PS3 160GB system by choice not by failure.
Playstation 3 - 160gb bundled - don't even look back
I am a critical video professional (deals in HD issues daily) who rarely believes any marketing hype bull... But know this...this is a great platform to begin a long term gaming and entertainment commitment with ( I haven't bought any gaming platform in years but this changed my mind enough to make this our first game platform for my 8 year old son - I can see this working for us for the next three years (a life time for an industry)).

With HDMI interface cabling and digital sound... all you can say is "Wow!" It looks great on our sharp 1080p 42 - much better than a line doubled crap sold as semi HD". Furthermore you don't have to geek out with the immediate upgrading of hard drives and when you do, simply add some additional high speed hard drives which are now dirt cheap.

This can be nearly all that you need... Simple, elegant interface with the power of a true media center. Beautiful blue-ray dvd playback and adequate internet responses make this thing even better. Movies, games, music and internet right at your finger tips.

In a out of the box test, we did a side by side with a new XBox at our friends house... Their 12 year gamer old found this to be a 4.5 out of 5. He is already pushing to get one for his family room.

Some ideas on catch up on the tight dollars... Save your money by cutting HBO and kick in a few more dollars for BD netflix and novelties on the play station store. Don't geek out by worrying about building the ultimate solution and enjoy a simple bigger, newer dimension in gaming and home entertainment.

You can never lose on the best in class hot sony product.

Bottom line-Don't look back!

Solid bundle, not the best choice if you are planning a disk upgrade
Necessary disclosure: I do not own this model but do I own the 60GB model, recently upgraded to 320GB. I am also very familiar with the latest 80GB model (which is basically this one with a larger disk) because one of my neighbors has one and I am the neighborhood's unofficial and unpaid 'computer' consultant :). I did some research in anticipation of us purchasing a second unit because I promised the kids 'their own' if their grades were going to meet a certain standard.

As compared to the 60GB model (see this model's pluses and minuses and what all PS3s have in common):
______________________________________________
+ Less expensive (I paid $599 for my 60GB PS3)
+ 266% more storage
+ Improved power efficiency
+ Dual shock controller (rumble)
+ Bundled Drake's Fortune and Pain voucher for a PSN download
+ Amazon Blu-ray movies promotion (buy 4 movies from list and get $100 off through end of 2008)

= Wireless Wi-Fi or wired Ethernet network connections
= Bluetooth for controllers, keyboards, earpieces, etc.
= Controllers charged via USB wires
= Free, unlimited access to the PSN network, including online play
= Full PSOne compatibility
= Blu-ray player
= DVD player
= CD player
= HDMI, component video (component wire included but no HDMI cable)
= Surround sound
= Internet browser
= Allows for installation of third-party operating systems such as Linux
= Disk is easily upgradeable without voiding warranty
= Quiet operation

- No memory card interfaces
- 2 USB ports vs. 4 USB ports on the 60GB
- No PS2 compatibility

STORAGE and STORAGE UPGRADE:
----------------------------
This model comes with an 160GB drive. This is nice because, based on my own experience, 160GB should be sufficient for a few years of use for as long as you don't plan to purchase lots of movies from the PSN store or download to many full games - if you are thiking about storing movies on your PS3 disk, consider upgrading to larger storage. However, unless you believe that Uncharted + Pain are worth the extra $100, you may be slightly better off buying the 80GB model for $100 less and then upgrading.

To give you an idea of the amount of storage you may need on your PS3, I recently checked the status of my 320GB disk and I found that I had 198GB free. That means that, one year after purchasing my (then) 60GB box I was using 122GB already. The space is taken by family pictures, a little music, lots of demos, many 'disk' games that dump gigabytes of data to the disk to improve performance, many videos the kids are making with the 'Eye' camera, game saves. I suspect that 'Home', when it becomes available, may require a few more GB's for its own use so 320GB may be what you need if you don't want to constantly worry about deleting old stuff before you run out of space.

If you are on the upgrade path, $80 would buy you a 320GB drive. I used the Western Digital WD3200BEVT 320 GB Scorpio Sata 5400 Rpm 8MB 2.5 inch myself but that was back in June/July and I paid about $150 then; you could get much larger drives for less now. 1TB drives are available for a few $$ more and you should try to get one of those if you are planning to store lots of videos. The nice thing about upgrading your disk is that you are also going to be left with a perfectly good 80GB or $160GB drive which you can place into a cheap enclosure, and the StarTech AT2510U2 InfoSafe 2.5-Inch USB/SATA Hard Drive Enclosure worked for me. I am using the free leftover drive as a backup device for family photos.

Upgrading the disk is (relatively) easy and you can find a lot of advice on the Net. Search for "PlayStation 3 Hard Drive Upgrade (HOWTO)" for videos that should help you decide if you are comfortable with upgrading. If upgrading is the first thing you do (before installing games or uploading personal files), everything becomes very easy because you need not worry about backups or restores. I upgraded my box in a couple of hours WITH the backup/restore steps.

MEMORY CARD INTERFACES:
-----------------------
The lack of memory card interfaces is annoying but you can get around it. Copy your stuff to a USB drive or flash drive and... problem solved. You can then upload your things through the USB. It's somewhat inconvenient but it's no big deal.

USB PORTS:
----------
My old 60GB model has 4 USB ports and I am using all of them. One for the PS3 Eye (camera), a second has a wireless keyboard dongle, the third is where the racing wheel plugs in and the last one I use to charge controllers. Of course, you can and you WILL be able to live with 2 slots but it is likely that you will be doing some plugging/unplugging if you begin adding peripherals. One way around it is to get a USB port multiplexer. Another solution is seek Bluetooth peripherals (wireless) if you can find them. Bluetooth keyboards, for example, are available.

PS2 COMPATIBILITY:
------------------
This model does not support PS2 software. Since the original PS2-compatible PS3's are hard to get, this has to be accepted as reality. I assume that Sony, after polling existing and future PS3 users, found that most users don't need PS2 compatibility. Soon after we upgraded to a PS3 my kids were playing Kingdom Hearts and Destroy All Humans but I haven't seen them doing so in quite a while. It is nice to have PS2 compatibility but its lacking would not stop me from buying a PS3.

PSOne GAMES:
------------
The PS3 has full PSOne compatilibity. Lots of them are available for download at the PSN store. They are quite inexpensive and some of them are still fun to play.

SUMMARY:
--------
- If you like Drake's and you do not consider upgrading, buy THIS model. In fact, you should buy this model regardless of Drake's because you are likely to be unhappy with an unupgraded 80GB model - like I mentioned above, I am already using over 120GB and this is BEFORE Home.
- If you are planning to upgrade, you're better off with an 80GB model selling for $100 less because you can use the $100 you save to buy yourself Drake's for about $40 and use the balance to help pay for your disk upgrade.
- Get yourself a USB port multiplexer if you need more than 2 ports.
- Transfer your photos to flash drives to get around the missing memory card interfaces.
- Keep your PS2 if you have one and still wish to play PS2 games in the future.
- Enjoy your new PS3.

_____________________
Note: I am not taking off one star for the lack of PS2 compatibility. I understand that Sony must compete on price and make a profit and times are tough. However, I simply can't see why Sony cut the number of USB ports from 4 down to 2 and this explains why this unit gets 4 stars instead of 5. This is a relatively significant inconvenience and I can't see how it would cost Sony more than a dollar or 2 if it provided 4 ports instead of 2.

Don't waste your money, these batteries don't hold a charge
People - don't buy this product. It's a complete rip off for 2 reasons.

First of all, the batteries do not hold a charge at all. If you let this sit around for even just one week without using it, all the juice will be gone.

Second, it's no cheaper than standard rechargeable batteries, so why not just use those to begin with? Not only will they work better, but you can also use them with any other product. This battery pack is propietary and only works with 360 controllers. If it was insanely awesome battery time it might be worth it, but it's not, so don't waste your money!

Just couldn't give it 5
I'd give this 4 1/2 if I could, but there is one thing that I think Microsoft could have fixed in this product. The power cord. It's plenty long, and it's well made. But it's not as thin or flexible as I would like. The reason being is because I can't put it anywhere without it looking conspiquous. And if the cord has a kink the whole unit slowly slides to the end of the table, or stands up slightly on one side.

The charging pack works great, but for $25-$30 before shipping, I'd expect just a little more quality going into the smaller aspects of the product. So 4 and a half stars.

Quick...how about fast
Overall this is a great charger because it charges one battery pack faster than it say it takes. I haven't tried it with two though.

wii charge station
its nykko it works great and never has failed me and form fitting to remote

Great chargers as not to use battery power any more.
Much better than batteries, however, the units are sometimes a pain to try to get in to charge. The outer shell has to be lifted and even then it is sometimes trial and error. I would recommend them just to save battery life and changing of batteries on a daily basis.

Don't buy this, buy rechargable AA batteries instead.
I purchased this for convenience and to save money on batteries. The idea is great, the design and quality are poor. The remotes with the back plate provided do not make a great connection. You have to wiggle the remote in the stand to make the connection solid for charging. To date I have had to replace one rechargeable pack and the other one doesn't hold the charge that well anymore. I've had it for a little over a year and would recommend that you purchase rechargeable AA batteries. You will have less aggravation.

Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Product Description
When it comes to music and rhythm games, Wii Music stands in a class of its own. Unlike other music games, which penalize players if they don't play perfectly, Wii Music is a musical playground where there are no mistakes. Here anyone can pick up and master the huge array of instruments available, through simple motions like strumming and drumming.

Musicians in your band jam by simply playing their instruments to the beat of a song or by improvising to their heart's content. Play faster. Play slower. Skip a beat, or throw in 10 more. No matter what you do, Wii Music automatically transforms your improv stylings into great music.

Gameplay: Getting Your Band Together
In Wii Music every band has six members: Two play the main melody, two cover the percussion beats, one covers the bass groove and one uses the song's chords to support the melody. As a band, the six members often play their special parts at the same time, though each player can jam however and whenever he or she wants. Play all at once. Take turns in the spotlight. Pair up in creative ways throughout the song. You can bring the band to life by yourself, playing one part at a time-or with up to four players. See game mode below:

* Solo Play: When you play by yourself, you can add one part at a time to arrange the whole song exactly how you want. The Tutes are on hand to back up your band in any parts you need filled.
* Multiplayer: When in a band with friends, up to four people can be band members.
* Wii Friends: Using WiiConnect24, you can send your jam videos to Wii Friends who own Wii Music. They can then watch your performance, modify it to their liking and send their jam videos back to you.

Tutes: Your Own Private Back-up Band
When not playing with friends, you can invite jam masters known as Tutes to play with you. They'll join a session playing an instrument that each thinks is strong for a specific song. You can simply enjoy the musical camaraderie, or pick up instrument tips by watching them jam. If you choose to watch, the Tutes will show you lots of techniques for many of these instruments, then ask you to follow their examples. They'll start with the simplest techniques, then as you master each one, show you even more nuanced ones.

Key Game Features:

* Easy to Play Improv Jams - All members of your band jam by simply playing their instruments to the beat of a song or by improvising to their heart's content. Play faster. Play slower. Skip a beat, or throw in 10 more. Wii Music challenges you to transform your improv stylings into great music. There are no mistakes and no game scores-just playing for the pure joy of playing.

* Wii Controls Immerse You in the Music - You can play most of the 60-plus instruments in Wii Music using simple motions with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers. Strum to play guitar, banjo and sitar. Drum to play jazz drums, congas and snare drums. Hammer away to play piano, vibraphone and marimba. Unlike most music games, Wii Music doesn't make you use many complex buttons. You only need to imitate playing the instrument.

* Virtually Endless Ways to Make Music - You choose the song and instruments and decide whether to blaze through a rock take on classical songs, put a jazzy spin on folk tunes or transform Nintendo classics like the Super Mario Bros. theme into Latin-flavored numbers. The song list is only a takeoff point-it's how you improvise with the songs that matters.

* Share Your Band Jams With Friends - They'll see your Mii band members, your players' improv styles and your instrument selections. They can watch your recordings, or play over parts of your song, then send their modified recording back to you. So you can send improv jams back and forth over WiiConnect24, changing them again and again.

60+ Instruments
You can play most of the 60-plus instruments in Wii Music using simple motions with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers. Strum to play guitar, banjo and sitar. Drum to play jazz drums, congas and marching drums. Hammer away to play piano, vibraphone and marimba. Unlike most music games, Wii Music doesn't make you use complex buttons. You only need to imitate playing the instrument. Wii Music offers virtually endless ways to make music.

Fun Beyond the Jam
Designed with classic Wii gameplay in mind, Wii Music includes many other modes and play options besides the main band jams, including several musical games and an enhanced video playback mode for recorded jams.

* Videos Mode: Watch your jam videos in an enhanced playback mode that brings your jams to life with fun environmental effects and dramatic camera angles.

* Mii Maestro: By waving the Wii Remote like a conductor's baton in this mini-game, you'll lead a Mii orchestra through orchestrated songs, such as The Legend of Zelda theme. Make them play quickly, slowly, strongly or gently-the orchestra is at your command.

* Handbell Harmony: In this musical mini-game, you'll play in a handbell ensemble by swinging your Wii Remote and Nunchuk. Everyone on the team has a job to do: play one of your notes only when the tune demands it.

* Pitch Perfect: How good is your musical ear? In this whimsical musical quiz, you'll have to solve challenges, like putting note-playing Miis in order from lowest to highest pitch.

* Drum Mode: In the one mode that uses the Wii Balance Board accessory (sold with Wii Fit), you can feel what it's like to play a real-life drum set. You'll use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk as drumsticks, and place both feet on the Wii Balance Board-which work as virtual pedals for the bass drum and hi-hat cymbal.

Increases music appreciation
This game felt like a fun music lesson. I enjoyed playing around with it, but was ultimately disappointed to learn that I couldn't compose my own songs. The game lets you rearrange and tweak existing music, and that's the extent of creative content.

I really enjoyed the mini-games section where I had to analyze pitch and play notes at the right time (the handbell mini-game is the only part of this game that resembles guitar hero). I'm pleased with the purchase, but I feel the advertisements were misleading. I'm afraid a lot of shoppers will be disappointed, thinking that you actually get to PLAY these instruments.

BORING & DULL, an insurance seminar would be more entertaining.
Like most people, I thought the commercial looked like people were having fun and enjoying themselves. Well, remember, you are watching paid actors!

Unfortunately, this game is a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. The fact that you can imitate over 60 instruments is no big deal at all. You can accomplish the exact same results copying the actions of any musician you may watch in a video or on TV. There is no "real" significant connection of your movements to the Wii Music game.

It is beyond simple, so much that anyone over the age of 5yrs would be bored to tears in less than 5 minutes. The majority of the game, if you can even call it that, you are acting like you're playing the instrument you pick at whatever tempo you like. There are no points, no significant objectives or anything.

The actual games are much more simple than what you would find playing the mini games of Wii Play. Making your own music videos with the cartoon characters... BIG DEAL! Conducting the orchestra.. WHOOPEE.. NOT! All you do is move your arms. The faster you move the faster they play with no real objective.

Finally, the music pretty much stinks. You only get very simple, humdrum pieces to imagine you're playing to. The Mario theme in the commercial is as exciting as it gets, and you don't even get to play that initially.

I cannot express enough how boring the program is, unless you're under 5yrs old. Regardless of what anyone else writes, it's not worth even [...]! I work in toys and electronics and play most every game out for the Wii. I STRONGLY encourage my customers not to waste their money on this title, & I recommend you look elsewhere as well.
Fun, no point though
When I just opened the game, I expected it to be a fun game, with scoring systems like most other rhythm games. But I tried it out and noticed the game is just a random shaking game. Only in the mini-games they'll give you a score. It also gets boring after a while. But with family and friends, this game is endless fun!
